Street Repaving in El Cerrito and the College Area

The City of San Diego is launching a project to resurface 134 miles of streets, covering more than 1,000 city blocks. Last year, the City resurfaced 27 miles of streets. 147 additional miles of roads will have slurry- seal resurfacing because of this project as well. The cost for these improvements will be around $47 million, and the money will be coming from a $103 million deferred- maintenance bond reserved for capital improvement projects.

Streets scheduled for repaving in El Cerrito and the College Area include sections of 68th Street, Arosa Street, Art Street, College Avenue, Dayton Street (Gilbert and Berting will be repaved separately as part of an upcoming water/sewer main replacement project), Lindo Paseo, Montezuma Place, and Rock Place.

Streets scheduled for slurry seal resurfacing include sections of 54th Street, 60th Street, Baja Drive, Catoctin Drive, Cleo Street, Dorothy Drive, La Dorna Street, Montezuma Place, Richard Street, Saranac Street, and Trojan Avenue.
