Community Vote
Legal Challenge to School District Bond Spending
Taxpayers for Accountable School Bond Spending (TFASBS) is suing the San Diego Unified School District and has asked the ECCC for a vote of support. The lawsuit challenges the School District’s spending of Proposition S bond funding for athletic facilities, including stadium lighting at football fields. TFASBS was organized by residents living near Hoover High School, and has participation by residents living near Point Loma and Crawford High Schools. The group has recently filed an appeal of an initial finding in favor of the School District. A yes vote would give TFASBS permission to list the ECCC on its website as a supporter.
